If you are going to a festival or outdoor event this year, then good on you. There’s nothing better than enjoying the outdoors with like-minded people. Just remember to reduce your impact on the environment by disposing of litter properly and following the Leave No Trace guidelines below.

Plan ahead
- Know the law of the land for where you are visiting
- Plan meals and avoid excessive packaging
- Take provisions for your own litter
- Smokers, take eco-ashtrays with you
- Whatever you take there, take back home with you
While you are there
- Respect nature and your immediate surroundings
- Use biodegradable tent pegs
- Do not drop litter or cigarette butts
- Avoid digging or disrupting the land
- Take beverage packaging home with you unless provisions have been made for you
- Use toilets where possible – avoid urinating just anywhere
- Do not contaminate natural water sources (i.e. streams) with soap or cleaning fluids
- Have a great time and be considerate to other visitors
